The Bees Are Back: Ospa launches new season of beekeeping events

Spring is in the air—and so are the bees! As the warmer months return, we're excited to welcome back the buzzing residents of Strathclyde Business Park for a brand-new active beekeeping season.

Introduced last year in partnership with sustainability experts Plan Bee, our four hives are home to up to 500,000 bees and play a vital role in supporting local biodiversity across the 155 acres of parkland. With the hives now entering their busiest time of year, we're gearing up for another season filled with learning, connection, and a little bit of honey.

Beekeeping events for Ospa occupiers

This year, Ospa is inviting all occupiers to get involved with a series of interactive beekeeping events designed to bring you closer to nature—and each other. Whether you're a seasoned beekeeper or just curious to learn more, there's something for everyone.

Here’s what’s coming up:

  • Hive Visits & Beekeeping Workshops – Learn about the lifecycle of bees, hive maintenance, and their essential role in our environment.

  • Honey Harvesting Demos – Discover how honey is collected and processed, and maybe even get a chance to sample some straight from the hives.

  • Pollinator-Friendly Gardening Tips – Find out how to make your own spaces more bee-friendly, whether at home or around the office.

Event dates and sign-up details will be shared soon through internal channels and on the Ospa website—so keep an eye out!

Why It Matters

Beekeeping at Ospa is about more than sustainability—it’s about community, wellbeing, and connection. These events offer a chance to:

✔ Support the local ecosystem
✔ Spend time outdoors and reduce stress
✔ Meet and connect with fellow occupiers in a relaxed setting

This is just one of the many ways Ospa is building a workplace experience that goes beyond the four walls of an office—combining flexibility, sustainability, and shared moments that make coming to work something to enjoy.

We can’t wait to share the season with you.

We’ll help you find your workspace
